Integrations and Data Sources

Integrations connect DB Designer to external databases. Data sources link a base to a data source.

Create a Connection

1. Open Integrations.
2. Choose the database type, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
3. Enter host, port, database, username, and password.
4. Save.
5. Check that it appears in the connections list.

Add a Data Source

1. Select the base.
2. Open Add Data Source.
3. Enter an alias.
4. Choose the connection.
5. Confirm.

Database credentials

Use dedicated credentials with appropriate permissions. Do not share passwords in chats or unprotected documents.
